Tips for Moving

I recently helped my cousin move.  On a very hot day I might add. Well as the old saying goes, hindsight is 20/20. Afterwards I was reflecting a few things we should have done differently.
1. Pack a suitcase with 2-3 days clothing and shoes, medications, toiletries, and important papers.
2. Pack an "open first" box that includes bed sheets, towels, hand towels, wash clothes, shower curtain, coffee maker, coffee and filters, toilet paper and paper towels.
3. Make sure the person driving the moving truck is the person with the keys to the moving truck.  We had a minor incident where someone left with the keys to the truck. This will prevent delays 
4. Pack a separate box with cleaning supplies.

Saturday Morning

I am up and doing some Spring cleaning on this beautiful Texas Saturday morning. I often leave the TV on while milling around the apartment. This morning I caught O'Malley watching TV.

Crazy Texas Weather

Texas is known for crazy weather. It can be 70* in the morning and drop 30* or 40* by night.  This past week we experienced some of this CRAZYINESS 😜

I worked from home on both Monday and Tuesday due to my office building being closed. I had my constant office assistant ready anytime I needed to take a break .

Baby It's Cold Outside

It is currently 33* and raining/sleeting ☔ here in Dallas. And we are expecting the temps to drop overnight.  Some of the local schools have already announced every kids greatest wish for tomorrow....NO SCHOOL 
As for me I will most likely be working from home tomorrow. O'Malley is snuggled up to me to keep me warm I'm sure.

My Ah Ha Moment: You only need to ask

I was sitting on the couch watching television. O'Malley was meowing and looking up to one of the windows in the living room. I could tell he was wanting to hop up onto the window sill, but there was an obstacle in his way....some plastic tubs that I had been emptying was stacked in front of the window. He was looking all around and meowing. As I got up to move the boxes I told him (yes, I talk to my cat), "all you have to do is ask and I will move them for you."

This was my ah ha moment! This scripture immediately popped into my mind.

Matthew 7:11 "If you, then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask Him!

I am so thankful that I have a Father in heaven who sees me, hears me, gives me good gifts, and yes, moves obstacles out of my way.

Making Baby Quilts

I went on a quilting retreat a couple of weekends ago. I made these two baby quilts. I'm getting ready to pin and quilt Noah's Ark now.
